Message I picked up a Setrab 19 row kit from CZP with the Mocal sandwich plate to replace my Nismo/JDM oil cooler. The kit includes plugs for the filter tree and the oil pan, which was the standard configuration for a long time. However, I found a post on Reddit saying that in Z1's equivalent kit, they no longer block off the ports but loop them, with the restrictor from the OEM oil cooler line installed in the loop. Something about this was done due to concerns of high oil pressure. Anyone have any more info or thoughts on this? I've never heard of any major issues running with the factory ports blocked off and a full flow kit, but Z1 did make the change which makes me think the issue could be legit. For now I just looped the send/return ports myself with some 3/8 oil hose and transferred over the restrictor from the original oil cooler which I happened to hang on to.
